The role
Raydar is recruiting for this role on behalf of our client. Serve as a senior engineer on a compact, high-ownership team, designing and delivering software across the stack. The work covers backend services, third-party API integration, production reliability, testing and close partnership with product and data colleagues.
What you'll do
- Deliver features end to end for a software platform, spanning server-side services and user-facing components.
- Integrate external APIs and services into production systems.
- Partner with several product groups to deliver capabilities that meet customer needs and support platform growth.
- Investigate and tune live systems, balancing performance, cost and reliability.
- Write automated tests and help keep release processes dependable.
- Collaborate closely with product and machine learning colleagues in a fast-paced setting where engineers handle several initiatives at once.
Requirements
What we're looking for
- 5+ years of professional software engineering experience, including work at a senior level.
- Strong proficiency in Python or TypeScript.
- Full-stack experience delivering scalable software in a startup or high-growth setting.
- Hands-on experience integrating APIs and building dependable backend services.
- Familiarity with relational databases, cloud environments and CI/CD pipelines.
- A self-directed, entrepreneurial approach and comfort owning work from start to finish.
- Based in the United States or Canada with valid work authorization.
Bonus points
- Background in developer experience, site reliability or platform engineering.
- Practical experience working with large language models.
