The role
Raydar is recruiting for this role on behalf of our client. Ship product features that weave machine intelligence into a software platform, collaborating with design and subject-matter specialists in a small, flat team. The work is hands-on and product-driven, with emphasis on sound technical judgment, data connectivity and mentoring colleagues.
What you'll do
- Deliver new product functionality from the ground up, releasing often and making pragmatic trade-offs.
- Architect features powered by large language models so they can be extended, reused and scaled.
- Work with subject-matter specialists to turn their methods and knowledge into polished conversational agent experiences.
- Build reusable, scalable pipelines and integrations that move data between the platform and third-party tools.
- Mentor teammates on data and AI practices through code reviews, peer guidance and informal knowledge sharing.
Requirements
What we're looking for
- Roughly 8 to 10 years of software engineering experience, including data-driven products released to production and used by real people.
- A track record of adding AI features to shipped products, coming from a product-focused engineering path rather than research or data engineering.
- A refined, repeatable approach to working with AI coding assistants, including how to check their output and automate more of the workflow.
- Hands-on server-side web development experience and ease working in flexible scripting languages.
- Familiarity with event-driven design and conventional web frameworks is a plus.
- Flexibility across technology stacks; web, full-stack and back-end backgrounds are all welcome.
- Well-formed views on data architecture and system design, such as search and data processing.
- Strong analytical thinking and the ability to explain technical decisions clearly.
- Startup experience, a strong sense of ownership and comfort with ambiguity, candid feedback and quick decisions.
- Enthusiasm for raising the standard of the whole team.
- A mission-driven outlook and an energetic, collaborative style.

- Base salary: USD 180,000 to 210,000 per year
