About the role
RADICL is seeking a Senior Software Engineer - Go & Infrastructure to join a software team on our platform. You'll design, build, and operate production Go services that power our AI-powered virtual SOC. You'll also bring strong Terraform and GitHub Actions experience onto that team.
We do not have a separate DevOps team. Infrastructure, CI/CD, and deploys are part of how software teams own what they ship. This role is still a software engineering job — roughly 60% production Go and 40% Terraform and GitHub Actions — but the 40% is work you do with the team, not a ticket queue you take on their behalf. You'll raise the quality of our paved roads (reusable modules, reusable workflows, safe promotions) so owning delivery is the default, not a specialty.
You'll work on Go microservices, APIs, and data processing on AWS. Your work will directly impact how reliably we run a multi-tenant, mission-critical security platform — and how quickly the rest of the team can ship on top of it.
If the above excites you, RADICL Defense is seeking high performing, motivated individuals to join our mission. As an early member, you will work closely alongside an experienced founding team and realize the life-changing experience of building a company. You will work with the latest technologies in software, cybersecurity, and cloud and will have a significant impact on the formation of our platform and offering.
About You
You enjoy fast-paced environments, bring a positive attitude, and excel at getting things done. You enjoy being part of a high performing team and are also able to self-direct and self-start. You consider yourself to be top tier talent and are eager to help others raise their game. You enjoy working with customers, are an excellent communicator, and able to engage and interact with people of various backgrounds and skill levels. You want your work to have meaning, to be important. You want to be part of creating something great.
As a RADICL Senior Software Engineer - Go & Infrastructure, you will:
- Production Go services — design, build, and operate Go microservices, APIs, and data processing that power our virtual SOC
- Team-owned delivery — make Terraform, GitHub Actions, and deploys a normal part of the team's work, not a handoff to someone else
- Infrastructure as code — write and review Terraform with the team: reusable modules, environment promotion, and safe plan/apply through GitHub
- CI/CD — design and maintain GitHub Actions workflows for build, test, image promotion, and deploy, and help teammates change them confidently
- Cloud-native systems — reliability, performance, and security in AWS; Docker; ECS and/or Kubernetes·
- Architecture and quality — code review, testing, documentation, and clear tradeoffs in multi-tenant, mission-critical environments
- Production ownership — debug across application code, AWS, and the pipeline that shipped the change; improve what failed so it fails less next time
- Technical leadership — mentor teammates on Go and on how we ship; replace one-off scripts with paved roads the whole team can use
Your skillset/experience should include:
- Programming: Strong production proficiency in Go; this is the primary language for the role·
- Infrastructure as code: Hands-on Terraform, including reusable modules, remote state, environment-specific config, and reviewing plan output before apply
- CI/CD: Experience building and operating GitHub Actions — reusable workflows, secrets, environments, and approval gates
- Cloud infrastructure: AWS experience (IAM, networking, compute); ECS and/or EKS is a plus; Docker containerization
- Distributed systems: Microservices, APIs, and operating what you ship in production
- Testing practices: Unit and integration testing, with quality gates enforced in CI
- Collaboration: You've helped other engineers own pipelines and infra, not just run them yourself
- Observability: Using logs, metrics, and traces to debug production services is a plus
- Security domain awareness: Interest in cybersecurity, SIEM/SOC concepts, or compliance (CMMC, NIST) is highly valued
- Education: Bachelor's degree in computer science, software engineering, or related field—or equivalent professional experience (typically 5+ years)
You don’t need to match every item on this list to apply. If this work sounds like what you want to do, and you have strong Go plus real experience shipping with Terraform or GitHub Actions, we want to hear from you.
