Senior Software Engineer

AppsFlyer runs one of the industry's largest backend operations. Our platform processes 150+ billion daily app events, serving requests and powering analytics at a massive scale.
Our Incrementality team builds the data foundation behind AppsFlyer's marketing experimentation platform. We help marketers understand what really works through large-scale A/B testing and advanced analytics.
We're looking for a Senior Backend Engineer who enjoys turning complex statistical and algorithmic logic into scalable, production-grade systems. You'll build and optimize the services that power our experimentation engine, ensure the reliability of the pipelines behind it, and work closely with data scientists and product managers to bring new capabilities to life.

• Develop end-to-end services and features, from gathering requirements and research to implementation, deployment, and monitoring.
• Integrate and implement AI flows and solutions into the team and department.
• Solve unique and yet unsolved industry problems at scale, even when faced with limited clarity on the optimal solution approach. Your ability to navigate and conquer such challenges will be highly valued.
• Collaborate closely with Product Managers, Analysts, Data Scientists, and Software Engineers, working together to deliver exceptional value to our customers. Your contributions will directly contribute to shaping the success of our products.
• Dive deep into the analysis and optimization of performance, scalability, and stability across our product portfolio, as well as the environments and tools supporting them. Your insights and improvements will have a significant impact on ensuring our technological excellence.

• B.Sc. in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience.
• 5+ years of development experience with a passion for excellence.
• Strong server-side skills with proven experience building services in large-scale production environments.
• Strong programming fundamentals — clean, testable, production-grade code, with the judgment to know what deserves abstraction. Comfortable being polyglot: our extended-platforms backend is functional (Clojure, Go) and you get productive in an unfamiliar codebase rather than rewriting it.
• Experience with AI concepts and tools, integrating AI workflows into backend systems.
• Experience with large-scale production databases.
• Experience working in public cloud environments (AWS is a strong advantage).
• Solid system design/architecture skills and technological expertise.
• A drive to get things done as part of a team, taking ownership and leading others where needed.
• A passion for mentoring, setting an example for your peers, and driving continuous improvement in your team's ways of working.

• A/B testing or marketing measurement exposure.
• Familiarity with Big Data tools such as Scala, Spark, or data pipeline frameworks.
