Senior Software Engineer

Position: Senior Software Engineer  

Job Location: 811 Excellence Dr, Bentonville, AR 72716 

Duties: Coordinates, completes, and oversees job-related activities and assignments by developing and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders; supporting plans and initiatives to meet customer and business needs; identifying and communicating goals and objectives; building accountability for and measuring progress in achieving results; identifying and addressing improvement opportunities; and demonstrating adaptability and promoting continuous learning. Requirement And Scoping Analysis: Traceability matrix; Risk analysis methodologies; Cost Analysis; Business objectives; Classification of requirements; User stories To explore relevant products/solutions from an existing repertoire, that can address business/technical needs. Assess gaps/ updates/ modifications between the customer/business expectations and the existing product/solutions (in case of agile methodology, for the iteration). Classify the requirements into applicable types (For example - Functional/Non-Functional, Derived/Imposed/Emergent etc.). Anticipate the solution risks / issues during requirements gathering phase, inform relevant stakeholders and recommend corrective steps. Contribute to the creation of user stories for component/application/complex (For agile methodology). Solution Design: Software architecture; Distributed systems; Scalability; Design patterns; Disaster Recovery; Tech Stacks; Minimum Viable Product- MVP; Non-Functional Requirements; Telemetry. To assist in design of solutions such that the processes / applications work in tandem for specific components/modules of a product. Evaluate trade-offs while designing a component based on the business requirements. Assist in conversion of HLD (High Level Design) to create detailed design using mock screens, pseudo codes and detailed functional logic of the modules for specific modules / components of a product. Coding: Coding standards and guidelines; Coding languages (E.g. JavaScript, Python, C# etc.), frameworks (E.g. ActiveX, .Net, Cocoa, Android application framework etc.), tools (E.g. Monday.com, Linx, Embold etc.) and Platforms (E.g. Microsoft Azure, AWS, Apple IOS etc.); Quality, Safety and Security (PCI etc.) standards; Emerging tools and technologies; Telemetry. To create/configure minimalistic code for entire component/application and ensure the components are meeting business/technical requirements, non-functional requirements, low-maintainability, high-availability and high-scalability needs. Assist in the selection of appropriate languages (E.g. JavaScript, Python, C# etc.), development standards and tools (E.g. Monday.com, Linx, Embold etc.) for software coding/configuration. Take initiative to learn the fundamentals of different coding languages and frameworks that would be useful for future scope of work. Build scripts for automation of repetitive and routine tasks in CI/CD (Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery), Testing or any other process (as applicable). Implement telemetry features as required independently. Ensure security policy requirements are properly applied to components/application during code development/configuration. Testing: Test case preparation; Test Objectives; Test Strategy; Test types; Test tools (E.g. - Automation - Selenium, Agile - Jira, Mobile - Eggplant etc.); Test Environment; Root cause analysis. To map the customer requirements in to test objectives. Identify and create test cases for the component/module.   

Minimum education and experience required: Master's degree or the equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Computer Information Systems, Software Engineering or related field plus 1 year of experience in software engineering or related area; OR Bachelor's degree or the equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Computer Information Systems, Software Engineering or related field plus 3 years of experience in software engineering or related area. 

Skills Required: Must have experience with: Experience designing and implementing SOAP and REST APIs using Java and C#; Experience coding in object-oriented programming languages Java, C#, and Python; Experience developing build and deployment pipelines and dependency management for applications using Jenkins, Maven, and Kubernetes; Experience designing efficient queries to implement trade snapshot feeds and developing scalable Database queries/procedures using Oracle PL/SQL; Experience working on Oracle MySQL and Jdbc drivers Azure Cosmos; Experience designing and developing trading applications with event-based architecture and storing and streaming events using Apache Kafka; Experience designing and developing applications using efficient Spring, Spring Boot, Apache Tomcat, and Jboss; Experience with Agile product development process, Data Structure, and Algorithms; Experience designing and building tests using JUnit and Test Ng frameworks; Experience working with code change control and version control tools: Jira, Git, and Svn; Experience testing Rest API webservices using SoapUI and Postman and working with Json and Xml. Employer will accept any amount of experience with the required skills. 

 Rate of pay: $90,000.00 - 180,000.00/year
