Roboflow Labs is our applied research unit. We train our own open models (RF-DETR). We build our own benchmarks grounded in real enterprise use cases (RF100-VL). And we partner with frontier labs to deliver the training data they need to advance the capabilities that drive the most value back to our customers.

As a Senior Software Engineer at Roboflow Labs, you'll build the platform that turns a frontier lab's data request into a shipped, quality-checked delivery.

• Design, build, and own the Labs data platform end to end: client-facing catalog and delivery portal, contributor-facing collection and payout tooling, and the shared data foundation underneath.

• Build delivery pipelines that ingest, validate, package, and ship datasets with the provenance, rights tracking, and audit trail that frontier lab procurement teams require

• Automate quality: consensus, review routing, fraud and duplicate detection, and the metrics that make dataset quality visible before it reaches a customer

• Partner with Strategic Projects Leads and operators to turn each new delivery into reusable infrastructure rather than a one-off

• Integrate with Roboflow's core platform and open-source tooling so that Labs benefits from, and contributes back to, the product millions of developers already use

• Set the engineering bar for a new team: architecture, code review, observability, and the on-call and release practices that let a small group ship reliably.

You are a senior full stack engineer who likes building zero-to-one. You have high agency and a bias toward action.

• 6+ years building production software, with real depth in backend systems, data pipelines, or full-stack engineering.

• Experience designing systems that process large volumes of data reliably.

• Strong product judgment.

• Nice to have: experience with annotation or human-data platforms, marketplaces with payouts, ML training data pipelines, or computer vision tooling

Roboflow is a fully distributed company with hubs in San Francisco, New York City, Singapore, and Brazil. Roboflow Labs works in person in San Francisco. We host full company retreats twice per year.

The target compensation for this role is $250,000 – $450,000 base salary commensurate with experience as well as equity in the company. Total cash comp is expected to scale significantly with growth of Roboflow Labs.
