Full stack senior software engineers at AirAsia focus on driving and leading initiatives to deliver secure, scalable solutions that are integrated with our large scale internal and external applications. Responsibilities:

• Mentor software engineers, propose engineering solutions to solve complex problems.
• Lead full-stack feature development using modern toolchains (React, Node.js, Vite, Prisma).
• Design, build, and optimize automated CI/CD pipelines to ensure fast, reliable, and secure build, test, and zero-downtime deployment workflows.
• Identify, prioritize and execute tasks in the software development life cycle.
• Develop tools and applications by producing clean, efficient, and well-tested code.
• Drive the culture and execution of test-driven development (TDD) and automated testing across projects.
• Work closely with QA to integrate automated test suites into CI/CD pipelines.
• Execute strategies that allow for the team’s code to be analysed, reviewed, and deployed via pipelines efficiently.
• Discover and debug issues swiftly, refactor code, and automate repetitive tasks.
• Practice security, performance, and scalability as core principles in your day-to-day decisions and contributions.
• Share and document knowledge as part of your workflow.
• Champion and integrate AI-assisted development tools and workflows (e.g., Cursor, Claude, Antigravity, GitHub Copilot) to accelerate delivery, refactoring, code review, and pipeline scripting.
• Work with multiple teams to deliver complex and cutting-edge software solutions for a growing business.
• Evangelize and drive stellar software engineering practices across the entire engineering team.
• Experiment and continuously explore new and emerging technologies, bringing perspective on how they can benefit the team.

Qualifications and Competencies:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 5+ years of proven experience as a Full Stack Software Engineer building enterprise-grade applications.
• Strong proficiency in modern front-end development with ReactJS (React 18+, hooks, state management, component architecture) and modern build tools like Vite.
• Solid experience in server-side development with Node.js (Express / NestJS / Fastify or equivalent) and modern JavaScript / TypeScript.
• Practical experience with Prisma ORM for data modeling, schema migrations, and efficient querying with relational databases (PostgreSQL / MySQL).
• Deep practical experience with CI/CD practices and tooling (e.g., GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Jenkins), including:
  • Designing multi-stage automated pipelines (linting, type-checking, automated tests, Prisma migration execution).
  • Building optimized Docker container images for Node.js and Vite builds.
  • Implementing automated deployment and rollback workflows across staging and production environments.
• Active hands-on experience leveraging AI-assisted engineering tools (such as Cursor AI, Claude / Claude Code, Antigravity, GitHub Copilot) to boost engineering velocity, code generation, refactoring, and automated testing.
• Experience developing mobile-first, responsive applications with clean UI/UX and modern CSS frameworks (Tailwind CSS, CSS Modules, or Styled Components).
• Solid understanding of RESTful APIs, WebSockets, microservices / modular architectures, and API security (OAuth, JWT, RBAC).
• Hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) (e.g., Cloud Run, GKE, Cloud Build, Artifact Registry) to enhance application reliability and scalability.
• Knowledge of professional software engineering practices for the full SDLC: coding standards, code reviews, source control (Git branching/merging strategies).
• Knowledge/experience with application observability, logging, and performance monitoring (e.g., GCP Cloud Logging/Monitoring, Firebase, Bugsnag, Datadog).
• Experience with performance optimization, profiling, and load testing tools.
• Strong analytical mindset, great attention to detail, and excellent communication and collaboration skills.
