Responsibilities: Design, develop, test, and maintain information management solutions in support of Navy program requirements. Apply structured programming techniques to ensure maintainability, scalability, and reliability of automated solutions. Develop and optimize data architectures, data models, schemas, and relational/non-relational data tables. Support integration of software components into existing DoN systems and architectures.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including systems engineers, testers, and program managers. Generate and maintain documentation, including design documents, data dictionaries, interface control documents, and technical reports. Ensure compliance with DoN cybersecurity, configuration management, and software development standards. Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues in support of operational systems. Participate in on-site technical meetings, demonstrations, and reviews at Webster Field (St. Inigoes, MD).
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or related technical discipline from an accredited institution as recognized by the U.S. Department of Education.
Experience: A minimum of eight (8) years of software engineering experience, preferably supporting DoN, Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR), NAWCAD, or related DoW activities. Demonstrated expertise in structured programming (e.g., .NET, C, C++, Java, Ada, or similar depending on environment). Experience designing and implementing data architectures, relational databases, and data tables (e.g., SQL Server, PostgreSQL, Oracle, or similar). Experience developing system-level data flows, ERDs, and interface schemas. Strong understanding of software engineering principles, version control, and lifecycle processes (e.g., Agile, Waterfall, or DoW-specific frameworks). Strong analytical, debugging, and problem-solving abilities.
Other: An Active Secret Security Clearance is required. Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders. Ability to work independently with minimal oversight.
This position will be full time onsite at St. Inigoes, MD.
Wage Rage Information: This full-time position’s wage range is $120K - $140K (salary) depending on experience and qualifications.
