Senior Software Engineer (React.js, Ruby on Rails) - OPS00038

We are looking for a senior full stack engineer who can design, build, and maintain high-quality web applications across the entire stack. This role requires deep expertise in modern front-end development with React, paired with strong backend engineering experience in PHP and Ruby on Rails. The ideal candidate is someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, takes ownership of solutions end-to-end, and contributes to a strong engineering culture focused on quality, maintainability, and user impact.

Responsibilities:
• Design, develop, and maintain scalable front-end applications using React and modern JavaScript/TypeScript.
• Build, optimize, and extend backend services and APIs using PHP and Ruby on Rails.
• Collaborate with product and design teams to translate requirements into technical solutions.
• Own feature development from concept through deployment, monitoring, and iteration.
• Improve application architecture, performance, and reliability across the stack.
• Write clean, well-tested, maintainable code and participate in code reviews.
• Integrate with third-party APIs, internal services, and cloud-based infrastructure.
• Troubleshoot production issues, debug complex problems, and deliver timely fixes.
• Contribute to engineering standards, tooling improvements, and best practices.
• Mentor junior developers and provide technical leadership within the team.

Required Skills and Experience:
• 5+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• Strong proficiency with React, including hooks, state management, component design, and build tooling.
• Solid experience with PHP (Laravel, Symfony, or custom frameworks) for backend application development.
• Strong Ruby on Rails expertise, including ActiveRecord, background jobs, RESTful APIs, and MVC patterns.
• Deep understanding of relational databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL) and query optimization.
• Experience building and consuming REST or GraphQL APIs.
• Strong Git and GitHub workflow skills, including versioning, branching, and pull request management.
• Familiarity with containerization, CI/CD pipelines, and cloud environments such as AWS or GCP.
• Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to work independently.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.

Nice to Have:
• Experience with TypeScript.
• Experience with caching layers such as Redis or Memcached.
• Background in automated testing frameworks for both front end and backend.
• Exposure to DevOps practices, monitoring tools, and application logging.
• Experience working in fast-moving startup environments.
