We’re looking for a Senior Software Engineer to join our Payments team, someone who thrives in building reliable, scalable backend systems while occasionally collaborating on frontend features. You’ll work closely with a high-performing team to maintain and enhance our payment platform, ensuring smooth operations for end users. This role is ideal for an engineer who enjoys tackling complex problems, taking ownership of projects, and writing clean, well-tested code in a fast-paced environment.
- Design and implement backend services using Python to support payment workflows
- Build and maintain user-facing features using Vue and TailwindCSS
- Develop and optimize data models and queries using PostgreSQL
- Build, deploy, and maintain cloud infrastructure on AWS
- Collaborate closely with product and frontend teams on payment-related features
- Participate in code reviews, CI/CD pipelines, and deployment processes
- Troubleshoot, monitor, and improve system performance, reliability, and security
- Document best practices and maintain high code quality standards
- 5+ years of professional software engineering experience
- Strong backend development skills with Python
- Experience building web applications with Vue and TailwindCSS
- Solid knowledge of PostgreSQL and relational databases
- Hands-on experience working in AWS cloud environments
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and automated testing
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Ability to communicate clearly in English and collaborate in a remote team
The work hours will be approximately 9:00 am to 5:00 pm EST, depending on workload, with the occasional late night when a tight deadline calls for it. We work for security-conscious clients, thus background checks will be required.
