We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer with a high quality, continuous improvement and product-focused mindset who enjoys working as part of a team.
The Role
As a Software Development Senior Engineer, you will be working in one of our full-stack engineering teams. Transforming our platform to be software as a service, developing next-gen products and capabilities to the Airline e-commerce marketplace.
Key Responsibilities:
- Technically hands-on including estimating, designing, coding, and debugging.
- Providing third line engineering support to our customers.
- Mentoring Junior members of the team.
- Working closely with our quality and performance engineers.
Technical Skills / Knowledge/ Experience:
Essential:
- Airline GDS or PSS integration experience using any ONE of the following:
- Sabre, Amadeus, SITA, Travelport, Galileo, Worldspan, Apollo, Abacus, Pegasus, TravelSky, Radixx, Navitaire or a bespoke airline PSS / backend system where you can demonstrate strong knowledge of PNR’s and complex flight booking structures.
- Minimum of 5 years’ professional experience in Java development, Web Services and object orientated principles.
- Solid experience in the development of highly available and scalable applications.
- Ability to work independently and also as part of a team
- Ability to learn independently.
Desirable:
- Degree in Computing or Science.
- A good understanding of Agile principles whilst working with Scrum Teams.
- Atlassian suite of products bitbucket/Jira/Confluence.
