THE TEAM

Our Engineering Department plans, builds and maintains the technology that drives high traffic ecommerce platforms. Our ability to deliver fast, safe and scalable solutions is critical in delivering first-class experiences to our customers. Our teams are organised by business domain and take ownership of everything they do in a you built it, you own it, model.
ABOUT THE ROLE
- You will work in a small, agile Java team with other Java experts and build our microservices architecture with us
- Develop and grow talent through mentoring, coaching, and retention strategies for key talent in a fast growth, highly competitive economic environment
- Investigate the latest technologies to improve site reliability, developer experience and raw performance
THE IMPACT YOU’LL MAKE
- We need you to help us scale our marketplace platform to match the demands of the increased eCommerce
- Your opinion counts in how we will design our new APIs and microservices architecture
- In the big picture your work will impact the lives of millions of customers shopping in countries all over the world
WHAT WILL YOU BRING TO THE TEAM
- Very good level of English
- Expert knowledge of Java and Spring (Boot)
- Highly proficient in SQL and NoSQL databases
- You are a experienced in designing APIs
- 4+ years of experience with high-traffic distributed systems and client-server architectures
- Solid computer science fundamentals (data structures, algorithms, design patterns)
- You are a living TDD
- Bonus points for experience with Spring Integration
