We're looking for an experienced Senior Software Engineer to join our Platform Engineering team. You'll play a key role in designing and building scalable, event-driven backend systems on AWS while influencing architecture and engineering best practices across the platform.

Key responsibilities & duties include:
- Design and build scalable Python microservices on AWS.
- Develop event-driven architectures using EventBridge, SQS and SNS.
- Design APIs, data models and cloud infrastructure.
- Build and maintain Infrastructure as Code using AWS CDK or Terraform.
- Improve system performance, scalability, observability and cost efficiency.
- Collaborate with engineers across the business and mentor junior team members.
Required Experience:
- 5+ years' experience developing backend applications.
- Strong AWS experience, including Lambda and serverless architectures.
- Excellent Python development skills.
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code (AWS CDK or Terraform).
- Knowledge of event-driven architectures and microservices.
- Experience with DynamoDB, PostgreSQL and Redis.
- Strong understanding of distributed systems and software architecture.
- Experience with CI/CD and cloud observability tools such as Datadog is desirable.
- Excellent communication skills and fluent English.
Nice to have:
- Multi-tenant SaaS experience.
- AI/LLM integration experience.
- IoT or connected device experience.
