As a Technical Lead (Payments), you will steer the technical vision, architecture, and delivery of secure, high-throughput payment processing systems and enterprise applications. You will be responsible for leading multidisciplinary engineering squads, defining system architecture, and ensuring PCI-DSS compliance and financial data security, while remaining hands-on with the code using modern C#.NET and React/TypeScript stacks.

Responsibilities
- Technical Leadership & Architecture:Lead the end-to-end design, implementation, and scaling of robust enterprise applications, with a primary focus on secure, high-volume payment processing engines and fintech integrations.
- Backend & Payment Engineering:Drive the development of scalable backend services using C# and .NET, integrating with major payment gateways, tokenization services, and ledger systems.
- Front-End Development: Architect and build secure, responsive, and user-friendly front-end interfaces using React and TypeScript for complex transaction workflows and financial dashboards.
- Security & Compliance: Champion PCI-DSS compliance, data encryption standards, fraud detection mechanisms, and secure handling of sensitive financial and PII data across the application lifecycle.
- Technical Governance & Best Practices: Guide architectural discussions, conduct rigorous code reviews, establish engineering standards, and champion clean code initiatives across development squads.
- Stakeholder & Client Collaboration:Partner closely with product managers, security teams, executive stakeholders, and client partners to translate business requirements into resilient technical roadmaps.
- AI-Assisted Optimization: Leverage AI-assisted tools to optimize development workflows, automate testing protocols, and improve overall system reliability and performance.
- Infrastructure & Reliability: Oversee CI/CD pipeline integration, cloud infrastructure deployments, and transaction monitoring/alerting mechanisms for mission-critical financial systems.
- Mentorship & Team Growth:Mentor senior, mid-level, and junior engineers, fostering a culture of technical excellence, accountability, and continuous improvement.
- 8+ years of professional software engineering experience, with at least 3+ years in a Technical Lead, Lead Engineer, or Principal role.
- Deep domain expertise in payments architecture, transaction processing, payment gateways (e.g., Stripe, Adyen, PayPal), and financial data flows.
- Solid understanding of PCI-DSS compliance, financial security best practices, tokenization, and fraud prevention strategies.
- Expert proficiency in C# and the .NET ecosystem - must be 100% hands on coding currently
- Strong hands-on experience building complex, scalable front-end applications using React and TypeScript.
- Proven experience architecting RESTful APIs, microservices, and managing transactional consistency with relational (SQL Server) and non-relational databases.
- Solid understanding of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
- Deep understanding of software engineering fundamentals, distributed systems design patterns, automated testing strategies, and version control (Git).
- Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex financial and technical concepts to both technical and executive stakeholders.
Skills Required
- 7+ years of professional software engineering experience
- Expert proficiency in C# and the .NET ecosystem, including .NET Core/6+
- Strong hands-on experience building complex frontend applications with React and TypeScript
- Experience architecting RESTful APIs and microservices
- Experience working with relational databases such as SQL Server and non-relational databases
- Understanding of cloud platforms including AWS, Azure, or GCP
- Experience with Docker and Kubernetes
- Understanding of software engineering fundamentals, design patterns, and unit, integration, and end-to-end testing
- Experience with Git and version control
- Strong communication skills with technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Ability to lead technical teams, mentor engineers, and drive project delivery
- Must be a US citizen or permanent resident who does not require visa sponsorship
