Great features span the whole system. We’re looking for a Senior Software Engineer to join our General Marketplaces business unit and help shape the mobile experience on Ricardo, from our iOS and Android apps to the backend services powering them.

What you'll do 🛠️

• Own features end to end: work with Product and Design to shape solutions, build across mobile and backend, and follow through after release.
• Build for both mobile platforms: contribute to our iOS and Android apps, creating experiences that feel right on each platform.
• Develop our shared Kotlin Multiplatform layer: share logic where it brings value and make thoughtful decisions about what belongs in shared or platform-specific code.
• Contribute to our backend: build and evolve the APIs and services your features need.

What you bring 📱

Must-haves:

• 3+ years building products and shopping code to production
• Strong production mobile experience: you’ve built and shipped substantial features on iOS or Android, with deep expertise in at least one platform.
• Willingness to work across the full scope: you want to contribute to iOS, Android, shared Kotlin Multiplatform code, and backend services as a regular part of your role.
• Experience beyond your primary platform: you’ve made meaningful contributions to another mobile platform, shared mobile code, or backend services.
• Solid backend and API sense: you can build the endpoints your app needs, not just consume them.
• Ownership and initiative: you can unblock yourself by clarifying an ambiguous problem, proposing a solution, and carrying it through to production.
• Good English: our team is international and English is our working language.

Nice-to haves:

• Experience building backend services, especially in Go or Java.
• Experience shipping a mobile app, having contributed to both iOS and Android.
• Experience working with Kotlin Multiplatform.
• Experience designing APIs and monitoring or troubleshooting features in production.

Hiring process 📆

We believe hiring is a two-way street. Here's what to expect:

1. Recruiter pre-screen (20 min) — a first conversation to learn more about your experience and answer any initial questions
2. Intro call with Zsolt (45 min) — get to know each other and answer your questions
3. Design session (45 min) — discuss how you’d approach a real problem
4. Coding session (60 min) — pair on a practical challenge, with no trick questions
5. Team fit & HR (90 min) — meet the team and discuss logistics

Location: You must be based in France, hold a valid work permit, and be willing to relocate within 100 km of our Sophia Antipolis office.
