What You’ll Do
- Develop and maintain reliable, high-performance APIs, with a primary focus on Ruby.
- Integrate third-party services to enhance and extend platform functionality.
- Optimize existing infrastructure to ensure scalability, performance, and security.
- Serve as a technical leader and subject matter expert by:
- Establishing and promoting engineering best practices.
- Partnering with cross-functional teams to drive complex, high-impact initiatives.
What We’re Looking For
- 5+ years of professional software engineering experience.
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to evaluate and recommend alternative technical approaches.
- Experience working with Ruby in a professional setting.
- Clear and effective communication skills, including the ability to work with senior stakeholders.
Nice to Haves
- 7+ years of engineering experience.
- Background in building or integrating with payment systems.
- Good experience with non relational databases.
- Understanding of microservices architecture, particularly GRPC.
- Experience designing and maintaining high-performance APIs and platforms.
- Project management or team leadership experience.
