Job Description
Get to know our Team:
Unified Configuration Management (UCM) is a critical service at Grab for centrally managing configurations for backend services. It offers a standardized approach to handle configurations across diverse services and supports a template structure and hierarchical configuration, reducing configuration duplication across environments. UCM's design allows developers to build and maintain configurations with minimal effort.
Get to know the Role:
At the UCM team, the Backend engineer's role is essential for designing, implementing, and maintaining a seamless, robust, and efficient system. As a key contributor to the development team, the Backend Engineer ensures that all the APIs, Databases, Integration with other systems work smoothly and efficiently.
The day-to-day activities:

Design, develop and maintain the key components of UCM system which include the SDK, CI/CD pipelines, daemon, UCM UI.

Collect and analyze user feedback, identifying areas for improvement and prioritizing feature development accordingly.

Implement best practices for web development, ensuring high-quality code and adhering to performance, security, and accessibility standards.

Proactively identify and troubleshoot issues, implement fixes, and ensure portal stability and performance
Qualifications

Minimum 3 years of backend programming.

Minimum 1 year of experience with Golang.

Minimum 1 year in frontend technologies such as React or Angular. . React is preferred.

Familiarity with AWS cloud services, preferably to have AWS architecture certification.

Excellent problem-solving, analytical skills.

Good verbal English communication.

Proven ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative team.

Experience with CI/CD pipelines and automated testing frameworks.
