What we are looking for:

We’re looking for a senior frontend-leaning engineer who thrives at the intersection of product and technology. You’ll work cross-functionally with design, product, and backend teams to build polished, performant user interfaces and scalable systems. The ideal candidate is highly autonomous, product-minded, and excited by the challenge of shipping impactful features in a fast-moving environment.

What Success Looks Like in 6 Months

You have shipped multiple high-impact frontend features, contributed to architectural decisions, and become a go-to engineer for solving complex product challenges.

Responsibilities:

• Design, build, and maintain core product features using React and TypeScript, ensuring code quality, performance, and accessibility.
  

• Own end-to-end development across the frontend stack, from architecture to deployment. With some willingness/ability to contribute on the backend.
  

• Review and mentor code contributions from peers, driving best practices and raising engineering standards.
  

• Collaborate with product managers and designers to translate creative and technical requirements into elegant, user-centric solutions.
  

• Work closely with backend engineers to integrate APIs and ensure seamless product functionality.
  

• Contribute to design discussions, technical planning, and roadmap prioritization.
  

• Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve issues across multiple environments.
  

• Enhance documentation and developer tooling to improve velocity and team effectiveness.
  

• Champion resilient, maintainable code and a culture of continuous improvement.
  

Qualifications

Must-haves

• Strong expertise with React and TypeScript in production environments
  

• Proven experience architecting and shipping frontend applications end-to-end
  

• Ability to navigate ambiguity and make clear technical tradeoffs in fast-changing environments
  

• Strong problem-solving skills with a product-first mindset
  

• Comfort with modern tooling (e.g. Vite, nx, Redux, Storybook, Webpack)
  

• Experience reviewing code, mentoring peers, and upholding engineering best practices

Bonus

• Familiarity with 3D or media-related libraries (e.g. React Three Fiber, Konva, PeaksJS)
  

• Experience with GraphQL, Auth0
  

• Prior work in smaller, fast-moving environments where autonomy and adaptability are key
  

• Experience building or integrating testing frameworks such as Cypress
  

Interview Process:

At Flawless, our team and interview process want to help you show your best self. We’ll dive into past projects and simulate working together.

Our interview process is three interview rounds with some casual Zoom (or in-person) coffee in between to get to know each other:

- Recruiting Screen: 30-45 minute call with our recruiting team (We want to discuss your interests and motivations as well as the practical details and make sure that Flawless would be a good fit for you)

- Coding Interview: 60 minute Zoom. This will be a technical paired-programming task with one of our engineering team.

This is designed to be an open/pairing type exercise to assess your ability to parse simple requirements, translate those into code, and demonstrate your fluency with hands on coding.

- Team Interview: ~2 hours onsite Interview where you will meet a variety of your potential future colleagues (We will have specific sessions that focus on how you collaborate with others and your technical experience.)

Your Recruiter and hiring manager will be your main point of contact and prepare you for interviews. You’ll meet 4 to 6 people from across the business. (We make sure that you have time in each interview to ask them questions). If we don’t give an offer, we’ll provide feedback!
