Are you passionate about games and gaming ? As a Senior Software Engineer supporting Roblox Consumer Application, you'll help build and support our application used by millions of users worldwide for gaming desktop platforms. You will work on all parts of the application, from SDK integration with all platforms, GPU & CPU performance optimization, and user interface development. If delivering the best experience to millions of users resonates with you, you'll be right at home within our growing Platform Excellence team.
You Will:
- Develop and support the Roblox client application for PC, Mac, PlayStation, and Xbox platforms
- Work with Product and Design to ensure the product embodies the shared vision
- Be the owner of projects throughout their full lifecycles
- Work directly with native platform SDKs to deliver the best possible app
- Optimize performance of our application for desktop and gaming consoles
- Code with the best programming and testing practices
- Build the best features used by millions of users every day
- Work with our Microsoft and Apple technical account managers
You Have:
- 4+ years of experience in developing complex applications for Windows and/or MacOS, UI optimization, performance optimization, multithreading and memory management
- Proficiency in modern C++, and have experience with or interest in Lua programming language
- Comfortable using metrics and logging to analyze features and user patterns
- Ability to shift focus and enjoy working outside your comfort zone
- You work with and inspire others around you, taking on task for the greater team
For roles that are based at our headquarters in San Mateo, CA: The starting base pay for this position is as shown below. The actual base pay is dependent upon a variety of job-related factors such as professional background, training, work experience, location, business needs and market demand. Therefore, in some circumstances, the actual salary could fall outside of this expected range. This pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future. All full-time employees are also eligible for equity compensation and for benefits.
Roles that are based in our San Mateo, CA Headquarters are in-office Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday, with optional in-office on Monday and Friday (unless otherwise noted).
