We’re looking for a software engineer to help build solutions that empower Creators to grow their experiences and achieve sustainable monetization. This role focuses on creating tools and systems that:
- Lower customer acquisition costs, enabling Creators to attract users more efficiently both on and off Roblox.
- Enhance monetization capabilities, improving Creators’ ability to generate revenue and reinvest in their growth.
You’ll contribute to shaping the future of the Roblox platform, making it the preferred place for Creators to build, grow, and earn a living from their work. This is a unique opportunity to make an impact by solving complex technical challenges and driving the success of millions of Creators worldwide.
We currently work with TypeScript, React, NextJS, C++ but the ability to adapt with changing technology is an important strength.
You Are:
- Experienced, 5+ plus years of work experience in software engineering
- Passionate about building great user facing products through continuous improvements and rapid iterations
- Curious about new technology and product experiences
- Seeks out other’s perspective to further yours
- Understands and is thoughtful about tradeoffs
- Interested in evolving design systems and building tools to amplify others
You Will:
- Lead technical decision making and guide the development team.
- Build and own customer-facing products that enables millions of Creators within our platforms
- Collaborate with product and design to push the boundary of what is possible
You Have:
- 4+ years of experience in developing and deploying top user facing applications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, or a similar technical field
- Experience approaching a problem from different angles, analyzing pros and cons of different solutions
For roles that are based at our headquarters in San Mateo, CA: The starting base pay for this position is as shown below. The actual base pay is dependent upon a variety of job-related factors such as professional background, training, work experience, location, business needs and market demand. Therefore, in some circumstances, the actual salary could fall outside of this expected range. This pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future. All full-time employees are also eligible for equity compensation and for benefits as described on this page.
Roles that are based in our San Mateo, CA Headquarters are in-office Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday, with optional in-office on Monday and Friday (unless otherwise noted).
