As a Senior Software Engineer, Continuous Deployment, you will determine and implement flawless deployment strategies that enable our ambitious mission.
You Will:- Develop the next generation of continuous deployment at Roblox, building highly scalable systems that deliver thousands of microservices securely across on-prem datacenters and the cloud.
- Enable fast, cloud-scale infrastructure that reliably enables thousands of developers to deliver Roblox’s exciting mission.
- Have high impact working across teams, especially with infrastructure and information security.
- Mature Roblox’s continuous deployment system to ensure a higher level of security, performance and stability.
- Protect Roblox’s users by ensuring production releases are protected from information security threats through building systems to prevent releases with critical InfoSec issues.
- Tackle challenging problems around scheduling and deploying microservices.
- Replace deployment workflows with standardized solutions.
- Collaborate with InfoSec professionals to incorporate standard methodologies for security into Roblox's critical deployment infrastructure.
- 2+ years of experience in working on service-based infrastructure.
- BS or equivalent experience in Computer Science, MS/PhD or equivalent experience are a plus.
- Solving problems with distributed systems is exciting to you.
- Interest in the crafting and building highly available cloud infrastructure.
- Interest or experience in standard methodologies for information security.
- Experience with Kubernetes, Nomad or both in a plus.
- Experience with Temporal is a plus
For roles that are based at our headquarters in San Mateo, CA: The starting base pay for this position is as shown below. The actual base pay is dependent upon a variety of job-related factors such as professional background, training, work experience, location, business needs and market demand. Therefore, in some circumstances, the actual salary could fall outside of this expected range. This pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future. All full-time employees are also eligible for equity compensation and for benefits as described on this page.
Roles that are based in our San Mateo, CA Headquarters are in-office Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday, with optional in-office on Monday and Friday (unless otherwise noted).
