Crowdbotics is looking for a Senior Software Engineer to join our customer-facing team. This team will build software for our customers leveraging the Crowdbotics platform. The team will own the technical architecture, engineering, and maintenance of the custom software backend and services backbone. Our backend API and services power the Crowdbotics platform that you and our customers use to create applications with minimal coding, initiate and monitor application development projects, and manage all aspects of their application lifecycle.
Responsibilities
As a services software engineer you will work with our core services team to build and maintain custom backend services for our customers’ applications.
- Creating Python applications following best practices and high-quality standards.
- Help product managers with technical plans and create specifications for upcoming tasks.
- Develop, plan, and document codebases..
- Packaging and distribution of Python packages.
- Integrate with external services such as hosting providers and third-party APIs providers.
- Investigate, debug, document and fix bugs.
- Assist team members with code reviews.
- Communicate effectively with remote team members using real-time and asynchronous communications.
Experience and Qualifications
- At least 6 years experience with Python, JavaScript, C#, JAVA or any high-level programming language.
- Experience in one or more web frameworks such as Django, Rails, NodeJS, FastAPI, Spring Boot and, .NET Core. Django is a plus.
- Experience building and maintaining APIs. Experience with Django Rest Framework or Django Ninja is a plus.
- Experience creating and maintaining Python packages is a plus.
- Experience building enterprise level applications is a plus.
- Proficiency with Git.
- Experience working with remote teams and ability to work independently in a remote setting and as part of a team.
- Proactive communication and teamwork skills.
- A proactive approach to problem-solving and a strong desire to help customers succeed.
- Previous experience on successful services projects on Fortune 100 accounts is a plus.
- Have billed your time on customer facing software development teams is a plus.
- Travel is not expected for this role, however the need may arise and will be planned with you ahead of time.
- You have built an app with Crowdbotics App Builder is a plus.
Although this position is remote, you will need to be available and working during US business hours (9:00am to 5:00pm US.) Also please note that this role entails direct client interaction and is billable to clients.
