Senior Software Engineer - Backend (Sydney, Hybrid)

We are seeking an innovative and forward-thinking Senior Software Developer passionate about building a world-class platform through a world-class team. Creating technical software excellence and spearheading application development in design, implementation, and maintenance to make magic happen.

THE WORK:

The Senior Software Engineer will help lead and build the next generation of financial reconciliation platform that enables finance teams to become powerful drivers of their company growth.

WHAT YOU WILL DO:

• Build, scale and maintain enterprise financial reconciliation application that brings the world class user experience to finance professionals
• Work with wider technical teams on the design, deployment and continuous improvement of backend applications
• Be a technical domain leader, provide technical guidance and craftsmanship to your team and own the delivery of features.
• Participate in raising our standard of engineering excellence by implementing standard methodologies for architecture, coding, testing, and deployment

WHAT YOU WILL BRING:

• 5+ years of experience with .NET C# and Golang.
• Knowledge and experience with Spark and Python.
• 5+ years of hands-on software development and architecture experience on large scale distributed backend systems.
• Experience in building high load compute systems (preferably in finance domains), backed by a MSSQL server.
• Experience building cloud applications on AWS or Azure, technologies such as Docker, Kubernetes and Linux platform environments.
• Experience with Agile development of distributed services, with a focus on robust software design, scalability, availability and security
• Eagerness to work openly and collaboratively with a diverse team
• Ability to apply engineering standard processes
• A positive demeanor and a passion for technology and the financial industries
• BS or equivalent experience in Computer Science or similar
