We are seeking a Software Engineering Lead with strong experience in C#, .NET, Angular, and modern web application development to help lead the evolution of our exam development platform.

This role is ideal for a highly technical leader who enjoys combining hands-on software development with technical decision-making, mentoring engineers, and driving engineering excellence. The Software Engineering Lead will play a critical role in defining technical direction, promoting best practices, and ensuring the successful delivery of scalable, high-quality solutions.

While remaining actively involved in coding and solution design, this individual will serve as a technical reference point for the engineering team, partnering closely with Product, Design, and Business stakeholders to translate strategic objectives into robust technical solutions.


As a Software Engineering Lead, you will be responsible for guiding the technical development of our exam development platform while contributing directly to software delivery. You will help shape architecture decisions, improve engineering processes, mentor team members, and ensure solutions are scalable, maintainable, and aligned with business goals. This position requires a balance of leadership, technical expertise, collaboration, and execution.

The ideal candidate is someone who enjoys leading through influence, maintains a hands-on approach to development, and has experience building modern cloud-based applications using the Microsoft technology stack.


Location:  LATAM 100% Remote. Working hours are based on the US Pacific Time Zone.

Job Summary
As a Senior Software Engineer specializing in C# and Angular at The Client, you will be instrumental in developing and enhancing our exam development platform. This role demands a passion for crafting clean, efficient code and a dedication to implementing dynamic user interfaces and robust backend services. You will collaborate closely with our product and design teams to push the boundaries of traditional exam creation and delivery.


Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the technical design, architecture, and implementation of web applications using C#, .NET, Angular, and Azure.
  • Act as the primary technical advisor for the engineering team.
  • Collaborate with Product, Design, and Business stakeholders to define technical solutions aligned with business requirements.
  • Establish and promote engineering best practices, coding standards, and architectural guidelines.
  • Participate in system design, architecture reviews, and technical planning sessions.
  • Ensure application scalability, security, maintainability, and performance.
  • Mentor and coach software engineers through technical guidance, code reviews, and knowledge sharing.
  • Drive continuous improvement across development processes, testing practices, CI/CD pipelines, and deployment workflows.
  • Support technical decision-making and help prioritize technical initiatives and debt reduction efforts.
  • Contribute directly to software development through hands-on coding and implementation.
  • Evaluate emerging technologies and recommend improvements to the platform and engineering ecosystem.
  • Collaborate with AI/ML initiatives, integrations, and modern application development efforts when applicable.



Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • 8+ years of experience in software development, with a strong focus on C# and Angular.
  • 2+ years of experience leading technical initiatives, mentoring developers, or acting as a technical lead.
  • Strong experience with C# and .NET.
  • Strong experience with Angular and TypeScript.
  • Experience designing and developing RESTful APIs.
  • Strong understanding of software architecture, design patterns, and scalable application development.
  • Experience working with Azure cloud services.
  • Experience implementing CI/CD pipelines and modern DevOps practices.
  • Strong problem‑solving skills and ability to work in a fast‑paced team.
  • Strong communication skills for effective engagement with team members and stakeholders.
  • Experience working in Agile environments.
  • Experience with AI/ML pipelines or chat-bots, preferably involving RAG or similar retrieval-based architectures.

Skills Required

  • Bachelor's or master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
  • 5-6 years of software development experience with strong focus on C# and Angular
  • Proficiency in responsive web development and HTML, CSS, JavaScript/TypeScript
  • Experience with RESTful API design and development
  • Knowledge of scalable and maintainable software architecture patterns
  • Familiarity with Agile methodologies
  • Experience with continuous integration, continuous deployment, and automated testing
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work in a fast-paced team
  • Strong communication skills for effective engagement with team members and stakeholders
