As part of the Application Engineering team, you’ll take ownership of our data warehouse, which supports diverse data-processing consumers, and our customer application, enabling advanced anomaly reviews, seamless configuration, and frictionless onboarding.
Location: Hamburg (hybrid). You must be based within commutable distance to Hamburg, as one weekly on-site day is part of the role.

* Application Development: Design and implement robust, scalable full-stack web applications.
* Scalability:  Own async task processing, query optimisation, and batching techniques.
* Performance: Improve system reliability and optimise observability.
* Code Quality: Write clean, maintainable, and testable code following best practices.
* Architecture: Collaborate on architecture decisions and long-term technical planning.
* Review & Feedback: Conduct code reviews and share constructive feedback.
Qualifikation
* Experience: 5+ years of professional software development experience.
* Core Expertise: Strong expertise in Python and Typescript.
* Backend: Experience in backend development with Python.
* Database Layer: Hands-on experience with ORM tools, especially SQLAlchemy.
* Data Modeling: Experience with database design and data modeling.
* Frontend: Proven experience with React and modern front-end development.
* Fundamentals: Solid understanding of full-stack development principles.
* APIs: Familiarity with RESTful API design and implementation.
* Nice-to-have: Data-Engineering: Experience with ELT data pipelines.

Skills Required

  • 5+ years professional software development experience
  • Strong expertise in Python
  • Strong expertise in TypeScript
  • Backend development experience with Python
