As a Senior Software Engineer working on our Ads team, you will play a significant role in shaping the evolution of advertising products and systems at Roblox. This team will provide advertisers with tools to run successful ad campaigns and provide publishers the tools to build revenue streams from immersive ads. This role is a great fit for you if you are proficient in managing large scale systems and data-driven applications and have a zeal for developing inspiring, easily maintainable, and reusable code. You Will:
- Have direct impact on the future direction of the largest social platform for play, delivering groundbreaking solutions allowing our creators to earn a sustainable living and build experiences for a global community of over 70 million daily active users
- Build and ship best-in-class Ads products and services
- Develop backend services that scale to billions of products and transactions.
You Have:
- 4+ years of experience developing a wide-array of software products
- Knowledge with REST, GRPC, distributed systems design, and scalable containerized systems and microservices
- Experience working on large-scale, consumer-facing mobile and web applications
- Knowledge about advertising and the technology which powers it is preferred
You Are:
- Passionate about working on Immersive ads in the metaverse
- Inspired to create great user experiences
- Focused on writing clear, readable, testable, modular, and monitored code
- Data-driven with a focus to provide quality metrics and monitoring
- Collaborative and excel at working in teams, inspiring others, and driving projects collectively.
For roles that are based at our headquarters in San Mateo, CA: The starting base pay for this position is as shown below. The actual base pay is dependent upon a variety of job-related factors such as professional background, training, work experience, location, business needs and market demand. Therefore, in some circumstances, the actual salary could fall outside of this expected range. This pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future. All full-time employees are also eligible for equity compensation and for benefits.
Annual Salary Range
$218,540—$283,780 USD
Roles that are based in our San Mateo, CA Headquarters are in-office Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday, with optional in-office on Monday and Friday (unless otherwise noted).
