We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Software Development Engineer (AI) to join our team in San Diego. In this role you will leverage AI and GenAI agentic solutions to optimize and modernize existing and legacy software development processes, including CI/CD pipelines and SDLC workflows. This role requires strong technical expertise in AI-driven automation, cloud platforms, and software engineering, combined with excellent communication and leadership skills to influence stakeholders and drive transformation.
Role and Responsibilities:
AI-Driven Process Optimization: Apply AI and GenAI techniques to improve software CI/CD pipelines, code quality checks, automated testing, and deployment processes.
SDLC Modernization: Integrate AI solutions into legacy and modern SDLC workflows to enhance efficiency, reduce manual effort, and improve reliability.
Agentic AI Solutions: Design and deploy GenAI-based agents for tasks such as code review, documentation generation, and intelligent troubleshooting.
Cloud Integration: Implement AI-powered DevOps solutions on Azure and Google Cloud Platform, leveraging cloud-native services for scalability and automation.
Stakeholder Communication: Collaborate with IT teams, software engineers, and business stakeholders to align AI-driven improvements with organizational goals.
Leadership & Influence: Explain complex AI concepts and DevOps strategies to non-technical stakeholders and senior management, driving adoption and best practices.
Continuous Innovation: Stay updated on AI, GenAI, and DevOps trends; propose innovative solutions to improve operational efficiency and software delivery.

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field.
10+ years industry experience in software development and DevOps; 5+ years applying AI/ML solutions in enterprise environments.
Strong background in SDLC methodologies and experience modernizing legacy systems.
Proven experience with cloud platforms (Azure, GCP) and infrastructure automation.
Familiarity with GenAI frameworks (LangChain, LlamaIndex) and agentic AI solutions.
Excellent communication and leadership skills to influence cross-functional teams.
AI & GenAI Expertise:
Applied AI and GenAI solutions for software development lifecycle (SDLC) and CI/CD optimization.
Experience with agentic AI frameworks (LangChain, LlamaIndex) and prompt engineering for automation tasks.
Knowledge of RAG (Retrieval-Augmented Generation), LoRA fine-tuning, and foundational model lifecycle management.
Proficient in LLM architectures (GPT, Claude, LLaMA, Mistral) and inference optimization techniques.
DevOps & SDLC Modernization:
Strong understanding of software development methodologies (Agile, Spiral, Waterfall, Lean).
Expertise in CI/CD tools (GitHub Actions, Bitbuckt, Jenkins, Azure DevOps) and integration of AI-driven automation into pipelines.
Experience in legacy system modernization using AI-based code analysis, documentation generation, and intelligent troubleshooting.
Cloud Platforms & Infrastructure:
Advanced experience with Azure (VM, AKS, Functions, ACR) and Google Cloud Platform (Compute Engine, GKE, Cloud Storage).
Skilled in containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes) and infrastructure-as-code (Terraform, Helm).
Programming & Development:
Proficient in Python, Shell scripting, SQL, and experience with C++ and R for legacy systems.
Familiarity with web frameworks (FastAPI, Flask) and deployment tools (Nginx, Gunicorn, Uvicorn).
AI/ML Frameworks & Libraries:
Hands-on with Transformers, Hugging Face, Scikit-learn, TensorFlow, PyTorch, ONNX, and NLP libraries (spaCy, NLTK, BERT).
Experience with MLflow, Kubeflow, and MLOps best practices for AI-driven DevOps workflows.
Data & Observability:
Skilled in data processing and visualization using Pandas, NumPy, Spark, Matplotlib, and SciPy.
Monitoring and observability tools: Datadog, Prometheus, Grafana for AI-enabled DevOps environments.
Version Control & Collaboration:
Git, GitHub, DVC (Data Version Control), JIRA for agile project management and code lifecycle tracking.
Operating Systems:
Windows, Linux, MacOS for multi-environment development and deployment.

The current base annual salary range for this role is currently:
$144,000-240,000Pay scales are determined by role, level, location and alignment with market data. Individual pay is determined through interviews and an assessment of several factors that that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to job-related skills, relevant education and experience, certifications, abilities of the candidate and pay relative to other team members.
