Job Description

Sportradar is a global Sports Technology Company, with names like UEFA and NBA on our customer list. The Production Unit is a cornerstone in the company, creating and managing the core dataset that most of Sportradar's products are based on.

The Warsaw-based Data Integration team plays a central role in managing the data within the organization. We are responsible for importing, processing, and distributing consistent and accessible data, which empowers other teams to develop their products and services.

Core Responsibilities Include:

  • Data Ingestion and Processing: We design and maintain data pipelines to collect and refine large volumes of data from both internal systems and external third-party providers.
  • Data Normalization and Transformation: A key part of our work involves standardizing data into unified, normalized formats, ensuring its readiness and value for consumption across the business.
  • Enabling Downstream Consumers: Our primary focus is on supporting internal stakeholders by providing them with the integrated data necessary for product development.

 

Approach to Work:
We operate within an agile framework, emphasizing collaboration and transparency. Our team utilizes sprint-based development cycles, incorporating standard agile ceremonies such as daily stand-ups, sprint planning, and retrospectives. We employ planning poker for effort estimation to ensure realistic goals and efficient project execution. The team consists of dedicated developers and a product manager who guides the roadmap and prioritizes development efforts.

Beyond our technical responsibilities, we foster a cohesive team environment. We regularly organize social activities, including sports, escape rooms, and board game sessions. Additionally, a significant number of our team members share an interest in gaming, creating opportunities for shared after-hours activities.

 

YOUR PROFILE:

You are a developer who likes challenges, having fun, and being focused at work. Learning is a natural part of your workday. You enjoy collaborating with a diverse group of people.

Required:

  • 3-5 years of experience with Kotlin or Java.
  • Strong programming skills enabling you to deliver software with high performance and availability.
  • A personal interest in keeping up with the general trends of software product development. A can-do attitude, take pride in own work and an ability to keep up momentum.

Nice to have/know:

  • Master- or bachelor's degree in software development.
  • Experience Working in agile development teams.
  • Experience with Cloud based services from AWS.
  • Experience with test frameworks and a "test coverage mindset".
  • Experience with modern technologies such as: Message queuing (Kafka, RabbitMQ). Docker, Kubernetes. Protobuf & gRPC.

OUR RECRUITMENT PROCESS : 

  • Initial Screening: A quick chat with our Talent Acquisition Partner to understand your background and expectations. 
  • Technical Assessment: A short (home) task to showcase your technical skills. 
  • Two Technical Interviews: Meet with the Technical team and later with the Hiring Manager to dive into your solution, as also discuss team fit. 
  • Onsite Interview (If not organized on prior interview stages): Meet with the local team and take a tour of our office for a final meet-and-greet.
