JBS is looking for a talented and versatile Senior Software Developer with strong experience in Node and Vue. You'll play a key role in building and maintaining scalable web applications using modern technologies while working closely with a team of product managers, software engineers, QA, and other stakeholders to develop new features and produce client deliverables. This position is a full-time role. We are 100% remote but candidates must reside and be authorized to work in the US.
Responsibilities- Design, build, and maintain scalable, high-performance server-side applications using Node.js and Vue.js
- Collaborate with product owners and cross-functional teams to deliver full-stack solutions in short, iterative cycles
- Architect and implement RESTful APIs and microservices
- Lead code reviews and provide mentorship to other developers
- Drive software engineering best practices including testing, CI/CD, and Agile development
- Continuously improve system performance, security, and reliability
- 4+ years of professional experience with Node.js, JavaScript, and TypeScript
- Hands-on experience with Vue.js is required – must have built and supported Vue-based applications in production
- Experience with both NoSQL and SQL databases; MongoDB preferred
- Proficient in developing and consuming RESTful APIs
- Experience with containerization tools such as Docker and Kubernetes (or ECS)
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, ideally using GitLab CI/CD
- Experience with collaboration tools like Jira and Confluence
- Strong problem-solving skills and a collaborative mindset
- Experience building serverless applications and cloud-native architectures on AWS (e.g., Lambda, API Gateway, SQS, SNS, IAM, DocumentDB)
- AWS certification or strong familiarity with AWS best practices
- Performance tuning and application security experience
This is a full-time, W-2 position with the following benefits:
