The Role
Develop and optimize secure, scalable backend APIs and database queries for FMS reporting. Responsibilities include architectural design, code reviews, mentoring, technical troubleshooting, performance tuning, CI/CD pipeline maintenance, production support, and Azure cloud integration. The role requires collaboration with architects, product managers, DevOps, QA, and business stakeholders while applying clean architecture, SOLID principles, secure coding practices, and modern .NET development techniques.

The person for this role will develop the APIs, optimizing the queries and API for the reports in FMS team. This will enable the delivery of the FMS reports that will be used by the FMS users with different roles. The users of the reports will be required for monitoring, analysis and for compliance purpose.
Key Responsibilities
· Design and implement scalable, secure, and high-performance backend solutions.
· Participate in technical design discussions and contribute to architectural decisions
· Identify and resolve technical debt through refactoring and modernization initiatives.
· Perform peer code reviews and provide constructive feedback.
· Establish and enforce coding standards and best practices.
· Ensure adherence to Clean Architecture, SOLID principles, and secure coding guidelines.
· Mentor junior developers through technical guidance and knowledge sharing.
· Assist team members in troubleshooting complex technical issues.
· Conduct technical walkthroughs and code review sessions.
· Design APIs, database schemas, and integration strategies.
· Evaluate technical options and recommend the best solution based on functional and non-functional requirements.
· Create test cases, perform unit testing and self-review before raising Pull Requests (PRs), ensuring adherence to coding standards.
· Should be able to break down large features into manageable technical tasks.
· Analyse application bottlenecks and optimize performance.
· Improve database efficiency through indexing, query optimization, and execution plan analysis.
· Optimize API response times and resource utilization.
· Design and maintain CI/CD pipelines.
· Support production deployments and release activities.
· Participate in production issue investigations and root cause analysis (RCA).
· Understanding of Azure App Services, Functions, Key Vault, Storage, and Application Insights.
· Work closely with Solution Architects, Product Managers, DevOps Engineers, QA teams, and business stakeholders.
· Participate in backlog refinement and technical estimation.
· Own full accountability of the tasks assigned and its resolution
