SVT Robotics is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Software Automation Engineer to join our Customer Success department. Reporting to the Director of Solution Delivery, the Senior Software Automation Engineer will play a crucial role in developing and executing an organizational strategy for automated testing of solutions. The successful candidate will be responsible for building robust applications to support this strategy, ensuring the reliability and efficiency of delivering our solutions to customers. 

Key Responsibilities:  

  • Develop and implement an organizational strategy for automated testing of solutions using industry best practices. 
  • Design, develop, and maintain automated testing frameworks, tools, and infrastructure to support continuous testing and delivery pipelines. 
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including Solution Delivery, Product Management, and Engineering to understand system requirements and ensure test coverage. 
  • Lead efforts to identify, prioritize, and automate test cases for functional, regression, performance, and integration testing. 
  • Drive improvements in test automation processes, tools, and techniques to enhance efficiency, reliability, and scalability. 
  • Mentor and provide technical guidance to members of the Solution Delivery and Software Engineering team, fostering a culture of continuous learning and innovation. 
  • Stay updated on emerging trends, tools, and technologies in automation testing and incorporate them into our practices as appropriate. 
  • Collaborate with Customer Success and Software Engineering teams to provide technical expertise and support for customer deployments and troubleshooting. 

Required Qualifications 

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams. 
  • Proven experience in software development with a focus on test automation, preferably in a SaaS environment. 
  • Extensive hands-on experience with testing automation tools and frameworks.  
  • Strong programming skills, preferably with a variety of programming languages.   
  • Deep understanding of software testing methodologies, principles, and best practices. 
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines and tools. 
  • Experience with Application Programming Interface documentation and technology concepts.  

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or related field
  • Experience working in an Agile/Scrum environment
  • Experience in automated material handling, or supply chain
