We are seeking a Senior Automation Software Developer with a strong background in software development, data engineering, and process automation. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing and maintaining well-structured, reusable code with a focus on simplicity and efficiency. This role requires excellent communication and analytical skills, along with the ability to work independently and take ownership of projects.
The developer will create and enhance automation across Google Docs, Jira, Tempo, JSM, and N8N to streamline data management and reporting for IT and finance. Key projects include maintaining scripts for IT reporting, time tracking, development support, and cost analysis; building API-driven reports to monitor Jira content, project costs, and tracked hours; and developing custom scripts to support IT automation and workflows. The role also involves ensuring smooth integration between Jira, Google Spreadsheets, N8N, Asana, Google Workspace, and notifications.
Responsibilities:

Design, develop, and maintain scripts, services and tools using JavaScript and Python.

Develop and integrate Rest APIs to streamline processes and improve system efficiency.

Perform data engineering and processing tasks, ensuring data integrity and optimal performance.

Write and maintain SQL queries for data extraction, transformation, and loading.

Ensure code quality and maintainability through well-structured, reusable code practices.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand requirements and deliver solutions that meet business needs.

Communicate effectively with team members and stakeholders to ensure alignment and clarity on project goals and deliverables.

Take ownership of projects and be accountable for their success from inception to deployment.
Must Have:

Extensive Javascript (and ideally also Python) development experience beyond scripting, with a focus on building robust, scalable solutions.

Strong analytical skills with the ability to solve complex problems.

Proven experience in data engineering and processing.

Ability to write well-structured, maintainable, and reusable code with a straightforward approach.

Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

Strong sense of responsibility and accountability for project outcomes.

Demonstrated seniority in previous roles.
Nice to Have:

Experience with the Atlassian ecosystem, including tools such as Jira, Confluence, Tempo, etc.

Experience with App Script and Google Sheets programming.

Familiarity with Jira API and Google API.

Experience with Python Django based services, Jenkins and GitHub.
Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.

Minimum of 5 years of experience in automation development or a related field.

Proven track record of delivering successful automation projects or services.

Strong understanding of software development life cycle, best practices and SOLID principles.
