What will you be doing in this role?
- Participate in architecture and data design sessions with project staff, product owners, and stakeholders as required.
- Build data pipelines and data orchestration processes to support ingestion, transformation, and distribution of data across systems and analytical platforms.
- Participate in team reviews of data models, data integration designs, and code, make changes as required, and recommend alternative data solutions where appropriate.
- Design and contribute to the drafting of data-related use cases for new system development, enhancement of existing systems, or integration of 3rd‑party data products.
- Work with technical and functional teams (data engineers, analysts, business SMEs) to ensure effective delivery of data solutions.
- Use software development methodologies and standards as defined by organization to effectively design systems;
- Work with technical teams within group as well as outside group to ensure effective delivery;
- Follow established processes for configuration and release management to ensure that all project artifacts are managed, integrated, and versioned according to standards.
Requirements
What will you be bringing to the team?
- Master's degree and 9 years of relevant professional experience.
- Certification OpenGroup Certified Architect or equivalent is an advantage.
- Experience with Linux, UNIX, or AIX enterprise environments, especially for hosting data platforms and integration layers.
- Strong understanding of distributed data architectures, including Data Lakes, Data Warehouses, Data Mesh, and Data Integration tiers.
- Strong skills in Data Services Design best practices, Data Quality, Data Performance Monitoring, Data Pipeline Tuning, and Data Interface Specifications.
- Significant knowledge and experience in designing and developing Enterprise Data Integration / ESB / Data Orchestration architectures (e.g., ETL/ELT, workflow orchestration, API‑based data exchange, streaming).
- Knowledge of data integration and data architecture patterns, including message routing, content enrichment, filtering, transformation, guaranteed delivery, sequencing, batch processing, error handling, and reconciliation mechanisms.
- Advanced knowledge of ETL processes on IBM platforms (e.g. DB2, Netezza, Cognos, Informix)
- Strong understanding of network, system, and data platform architecture, including how data moves securely and efficiently across the enterprise.
- Experience with advanced analytics platforms, such as Spark, Databricks, Python/R ecosystems, cloud AI services, and BI/visualization tools.
- Knowledge of AI/ML concepts is considered an advantage.
- Proficiency in English language at a minimum B2 level.
