Job Duties and Responsibilities
Senior Site Reliability Engineer sought by DISH Network L.L.C. in East Englewood, CO.
Functional requirements including SLI/SLOs. Validating requirements with Business Stakeholders. Manage SLI/SLOs of customer-facing interfaces as well as back-end services and provide improvement plans for
non-compliance. Develop custom dashboards in New Relic to represent a holistic view of the system's operational health. Improve reliability, quality, and time to market of our suite of software solutions. Support release engineering by providing automation support as well as push changes to production when manual intervention is needed. Measure and optimize system performance, to push our capabilities forward, getting ahead of customer needs, and innovating to continually improve. Provide primary operational support and engineering for multiple large, distributed software applications.
Skills, Experience and Requirements
Requires: Master's degree (or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a closely related field, plus 2 years of work experience in job offered, or as Site Reliability Engineer, or cloud platform and devops engineer working with AWS and Kubernetes, or similar role. Also requires 2 years of experience with/using the following (which may have been gained concurrently):
- Go, Java, C/C++, Ruby, React Native and JavaScript
- AWS cloud services like EC2, S3, Cloud Front, EKS
- Kubernetes, resource management frameworks
- Performance management tools, including New Relic, EFK stack and log analysis
- Performance bottlenecks
Salary Ranges
Compensation: $160,000.00/Year - $160,000.00/Year
