ISS STOXX is looking for a Senior Site Reliability Engineer to join our team in Mumbai (Goregaon East), India.
Shift hours: 1 PM IST to 10 PM IST
Overview:
GRV (Governance Research and Voting) at ISS STOXX provides critical proxy voting services and governance solutions that support institutional investors in making informed, data‑driven decisions.
As a Senior Site Reliability Engineer, you’ll play a key role in shaping the reliability, scalability, and operational excellence of GRV’s platform and services. You’ll collaborate closely with engineering, product, QA, and application management teams to deliver highly available, high‑performance systems using modern tools and technologies.
Responsibilities:
Design, expand, and optimize Kubernetes‑based deployment architectures for microservices.
Enhance our monitoring and observability stack with tools such as Grafana, Prometheus, and supporting ecosystems.
Ensure all microservices produce consistent, actionable logs that integrate seamlessly into our log‑indexing infrastructure.
Write and maintain code that supports build automation, tooling, and operational workflows.
Contribute to reliability‑focused initiatives, including building and improving Docker images and managing workloads across Kubernetes clusters.
Partner with DevOps and engineering teams to improve deployment practices, operational processes, and automation.
Develop and expand documentation for operational tasks, runbooks, and escalation procedures.
Champion reliability best practices and help guide the evolution of our platform’s architecture and operations.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
At least 4 to 5+ years of experience programming in one or more languages: Java, Python, Go, or Django.
Deep experience troubleshooting large‑scale, distributed systems.
Strong interest in software reliability engineering, automation, and building resilient systems.
Proven ability to communicate clearly and work effectively in cross‑functional teams.
Strong experience with Linux/Unix environments and system internals.
