We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Site Reliability Engineer to join our team. We are passionate about delivering cutting-edge solutions and pushing the boundaries of what's possible. As a Senior Site Reliability Engineer, you'll play a pivotal role in ensuring the reliability, scalability, and performance of our infrastructure as we continue to scale and expand our operations.

What you’ll do:

  • Design, implement, and maintain highly available, scalable, and secure cloud-based infrastructure.
  • Develop and implement automation tools and processes to streamline deployment, monitoring, and management of infrastructure and applications.
  • Contribute to the growth of a culture focused on reliability engineering, promoting collaboration between teams and stakeholders across multiple levels within the organization, including development, operations, and QA to ensure the reliability and performance of our systems.
  • Proactively monitor system performance, identify bottlenecks, and implement solutions to optimize performance and resource utilization.
  • Implement and maintain robust monitoring, alerting, and logging systems to detect and respond to incidents in a timely manner.
  • Lead incident response efforts during outages or service disruptions, conducting root cause analysis and implementing preventive measures.
  • Continuously evaluate and implement best practices, tools, and technologies to improve system reliability, scalability, and security.
  • Mentor and provide guidance to junior members of the team, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous learning.

What you have:

  • 5+ years of experience as a Site Reliability Engineer, DevOps Engineer, or similar role in a fast-paced startup environment.
  • Deep understanding of cloud computing principles and experience with public cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
  • Proficiency in infrastructure as code tools such as Jenkins, Terraform, CloudFormation, or Ansible.
  • Strong programming skills in languages such as Python, Go, or Java.
  • Experience with containerization technologies such as Docker and container orchestration platforms like Kubernetes.
  • Solid understanding of networking concepts, TCP/IP stack, and experience with network troubleshooting and configuration.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex systems and troubleshoot issues under pressure.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a cross-functional team environment.

Where you’ll live:

  • While we prefer candidates based in Atlanta, we are open to qualified applicants from anywhere in the U.S. and are willing to consider remote candidates. #LI-Remote

The typical salary range for this position is $160,000 to $185,000. At PrizePicks, we consider your role, level, and where you'll be working when determining our salary ranges. The compensation info you see on our job postings gives you an idea of the starting pay range for the position. Your actual pay within that range will depend on your specific work location, as well as your skills, experience, and education. Your 

recruiter will be happy to chat more about the specific pay range for your location and how we arrived at it during the hiring process.
