Key Responsibilities
- Plan, monitor, and optimize capacity across hybrid infrastructure (VMware and public cloud).
- Ensure high availability, scalability, and performance of enterprise platforms.
- Implement and maintain observability and monitoring solutions for infrastructure and applications.
- Analyze capacity trends and provide forecasting for infrastructure growth and cloud consumption (FinOps).
- Collaborate with Architecture, DevOps, Cloud, Networking, and Application teams to support new initiatives.
- Identify performance bottlenecks and drive infrastructure optimization strategies.
- Develop automation for infrastructure provisioning, monitoring, and operational tasks.
- Support Kubernetes, containerized workloads, and cloud-native environments.
- Lead root cause analysis (RCA) and troubleshoot complex infrastructure and performance issues.
- Produce capacity planning, utilization, and executive reporting to support business decisions.
Must Have
- 3+ years of experience in SRE, DevOps, Infrastructure, or Platform Engineering.
- Strong experience with VMware vSphere (vCenter, ESXi, HA, DRS, vSAN).
- Hands-on experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP in hybrid cloud environments.
- Experience with Kubernetes, Docker, and container orchestration.
- Knowledge of Infrastructure as Code (Terraform and/or Ansible).
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitLab CI, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps).
- Strong Linux administration and performance tuning skills.
- Experience with observability and monitoring tools such as Dynatrace, Datadog, Prometheus, Grafana, New Relic, or Zabbix.
- Proficiency in Python, Bash, PowerShell, or PowerCLI for automation.
- Solid understanding of networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS, Load Balancing, Firewalls).
- Experience performing capacity planning, performance analysis, and root cause analysis.
- English proficiency for technical documentation and communication.
Nice to Have
- AI Tooling Proficiency: Leverage one or more AI tools to optimize and augment day-to-day work, including drafting, analysis, research, or process automation. Provide recommendations on effective AI use and identify opportunities to streamline workflows.
- Experience in banking, financial services, or other highly regulated environments.
- Knowledge of Cloud FinOps and cloud cost optimization.
- Experience with VMware Aria Operations (vRealize Operations).
- Background in Disaster Recovery (DR), Backup, and Business Continuity.
