- Partner with engineering teams to support onboarding, advocate for engineering best practices, troubleshoot platform outages and develop improvement actions that strengthen service reliability.
- Support application teams in delivering highly available and reliable services, including participation in 24x7 on-call production support.
- Manage and maintain CI pipelines within GitLab, deployments to AWS through Jenkins, and infrastructure through code, while helping progress delivery towards continuous deployment.
- Work with engineering teams to design, build, implement and support platform solutions using AWS and other cloud technologies, taking ownership from design through to operation.
What We’re Looking For
- 7+ years of relevant technology experience, including at least 3 years working with AWS and practical knowledge of services such as EC2, Auto Scaling Groups (ASG), S3 and RDS.
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code, preferably Terraform and CloudFormation, together with infrastructure configuration tools such as Chef.
- Working knowledge of Git, including branching models and merge strategies, and experience supporting CI/CD engineering practices.
- Working knowledge of PowerShell/PowerShell Core for automation and the ability to apply automation to improve operational efficiency and platform consistency.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to collaborate across engineering teams to identify issues, support resolution and improve platform reliability.
