The Opportunity & Our Technology Crew
Join our energetic Technology team in Las Vegas, Nevada, working directly with the founders. As a key early hire, you'll be pivotal to our online success, taking significant ownership of the frontend architecture and user experience for our e-commerce stores like "End The Wokeness" and new ventures like "Shop It." You'll also contribute your frontend expertise and fullstack capabilities to our custom Rails-based internal software. This role offers extensive scope to make a lasting impact, demanding a self-starting, versatile engineer comfortable with modern frontend technologies, API integrations, and contributing across the stack when needed in our hyperscaling phase.
Key Contributions You'll Make:
- Lead frontend development for our e-commerce platforms and internal applications, ensuring responsive, high-performance, and scalable user interfaces.
- Translate UI/UX designs and wireframes into high-quality, maintainable code using modern JavaScript frameworks and best practices.
- Collaborate closely with founders, designers, and backend engineers to deliver compelling user experiences and rapidly iterate on features.
- Integrate frontend components with backend services and APIs, including our Rails-based internal systems and third-party e-commerce services.
- Customize and extend Shopify themes (Liquid) and integrate third-party apps where it aligns with our broader frontend strategy.
- Contribute to backend development tasks on our Rails-based internal tools as needed, leveraging your fullstack capabilities.
- Champion frontend best practices, code quality, performance optimization, and accessibility standards across all projects.
- Manage multiple high-stakes projects, driving results and adapting quickly in a fast-paced startup environment.
What Makes You a Strong Candidate:
- 5+ years of professional frontend development experience, building complex and responsive web applications.
- Proven expertise in modern JavaScript (ES6+), HTML5, CSS3, and at least one major frontend framework (e.g., React, Vue.js, Angular, Svelte).
- Strong understanding of RESTful APIs and experience integrating frontend applications with backend services.
- Experience with e-commerce platforms; familiarity with Shopify (Shopify Plus, Liquid, themes) is a significant advantage.
- Solid understanding of core web technologies, browser performance, and frontend build tools (e.g., Webpack, Vite).
- Familiarity with backend technologies and a willingness to contribute to fullstack development; experience with Ruby on Rails is a strong plus.
- Exceptional problem-solving, organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple deadlines in a startup setting where your work defines success.
- Responsive communication and a proactive, collaborative approach to teamwork.
- A demonstrated eagerness to quickly learn and apply new skills.
