As a Senior ServiceNow Developer, you will play a crucial role in designing, developing, and implementing solutions within the ServiceNow platform. You will be responsible for maintaining and performing continual service improvements on the following implemented modules: ITSM, ITFM, HRSD, ITOM, PPM, and SPM. You will be expected to collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and translate them into technical solutions.

Work with product owner/stakeholders to build requested items and tasks using workflows to manage processes and meet business requirements.

Document and maintain functional business requirements, process flows and business use cases.

Performs operational administrative tasks, as needed.

Assists with report configuration and maintenance, as needed.

Configure and maintain data integrations between ServiceNow and other systems.

Design/ Develop ServiceNow Forms and Tables as well as Modules.

Develop Workflow / Flow Design where required to drive Approvals and Process Lifecycle.

Design, create and configure Business Rules, UI Policies, UI Actions, Client Scripts and ACLs including advanced scripting of each (including CMS/Service Portal).

Design, create and configure Notifications, UI Pages, UI Macros, Script Includes, Formatters, etc. in ServiceNow.

Best Practices and Governance:

Ensure adherence to ServiceNow best practices, agency security guidelines, governance policies and maintain as close to an out of the box environment as possible.
Perform code reviews and mentor junior developers.

Continuous Improvement:

Stay updated on ServiceNow releases, features, and industry trends.
Identify opportunities for process improvement and automation.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or equivalent work experience.

ServiceNow Certified Application Developer (CAD) or Certified Implementation Specialist (CIS) certification highly desired

Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience with ServiceNow development of the modules listed above.

Experience working in an Agile/Scrum environment.

Proficiency in JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and REST APIs.
Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Possess an in-depth knowledge of implementing ServiceNow Architecture and ServiceNow Scripting.

Experience creating ServiceNow update sets, promoting and testing through multiple instances and into production.

Demonstrated knowledge of service management processes, procedures, and software, and including knowledge of ServiceNow.
 

CONTRACT JOB DESCRIPTION:
Responsibilities:
1. Designs, develops, enhances, debugs, and implements software.
2. Troubleshoots production problems related to software applications.
3. Research, tests, build, and coordinate the conversion and/or integration of new products based on client requirements.
4. Designs and develops new software products or major enhancements to existing software.
5. Addresses problems of systems integration, compatibility, and multiple platforms.
6. Consults with project teams and end users to identify application requirements.
7. Performs feasibility analysis on potential future projects to management.
8. Assists in the evaluation and recommendation of application software packages, application integration and testing tools.
9. Resolves problems with software and responds to suggestions for improvements and enhancements.
10. Acts as team leader on projects.
11. Instructs, assigns, directs, and checks the work of other software developers on development team.
12. Participates in development of software user manuals.

 

Qualifications

Minimum Education/Certification Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in IT or related field or equivalent experience
