Who we are looking for:
We are currently seeking a Senior ServiceNow Developer for an on-site position supporting our client, the California Department of General Services. We are an organization committed to your growth and success in the IT software development industry. Seeking a Senior ServiceNow Developer to lead the design, development, and implementation of ServiceNow solutions aligned with business needs. This role requires deep technical expertise, leadership capability, and experience across multiple ServiceNow modules.
What your day-to-day will look like / Duties:
- Lead development efforts on the ServiceNow platform across various modules
- Customize and configure out-of-box ServiceNow applications and develop new applications
- Collaborate with business stakeholders, project managers, and other technical teams
- Implement integrations with external systems (REST, SOAP, etc.)
- Lead ServiceNow upgrades, patching, and performance tuning
- Create and maintain documentation (technical designs, process flows, etc.)
- Ensure ServiceNow best practices and governance are followed
What we would like to see on your resume/ Required Skills:
- 6+ years in ServiceNow development
- Proficiency in ServiceNow scripting (GlideScript, JavaScript, Flow Designer)
- Strong knowledge of ServiceNow modules: ITSM, CMDB, Discovery, Service Catalog, Incident/Problem/Change, etc.
- Experience with integrations (REST/SOAP APIs, MID Server, LDAP, SSO)
- Strong understanding of CMDB and CI relationships
- Service Portal and UI customization
- Experience in Agile/Scrum environments
What will make you stand out as a candidate:
- ITOM, SecOps, HRSD, or GRC module experience
- ServiceNow Certified Application Developer or Implementation Specialist
- Knowledge of performance tuning and instance optimization
- Experience with Flow Designer and IntegrationHub
What specifically does this role require:
Education: Bachelor’s degree in a technical field such as software engineering, engineering, computer science, etc.
Salary Range: Various factors are considered in determining final pay for a position, including, but not limited to, relevant work experience, skills, education, certifications, and competencies that align with the specified role, as well as contract provisions regarding labor categories that are specific to the position. The pay range for this position is $130,000-$170,000.
Location: Sacramento, CA. (Option to WFH but with prior approval) Occasional travel may be required.
