Role Overview

We are seeking a skilled Senior Security Analyst (SOC Analyst Tier 2) to join our growing cybersecurity team. This role involves leading incident investigations, configuring and tuning security tools, mentoring junior analysts, and driving the organization’s proactive threat defense. You will play a crucial part in reviewing SIEM/SOAR alerts, conducting vulnerability assessments, and shaping robust response strategies.

Key Responsibilities
  • Analyze and triage SIEM and SOAR alerts to identify genuine threats and incidents.

  • Oversee and fine-tune security monitoring tools for maximum threat detection accuracy.

  • Lead response efforts for critical security incidents, from identification to resolution.

  • Perform vulnerability assessments and penetration tests to detect and remediate weaknesses.

  • Guide Tier 1 analysts in incident evaluation and escalation procedures.

  • Conduct threat intelligence analysis to identify perpetrators, IOCs, attack types, and affected systems.

  • Validate and periodically test incident response plans to ensure readiness.

  • Monitor for unknown vulnerabilities and proactively address potential security gaps.

  • Document and improve incident management procedures and recovery protocols.

Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.

  • 3+ years of experience in a SOC or cybersecurity operations role.

  • Strong experience analyzing SIEM/SOAR alerts, conducting incident triage, and leading investigations.

  • Proficiency in vulnerability assessments, penetration testing, and containment strategies.

  • Deep understanding of IOCs, threat intelligence, and advanced security tools.

  • Security certifications such as Security+, eCIR, CISSP, SANS, or CEH.

  • Strong leadership, communication, and mentoring skills.

  • Ability to handle high-pressure situations with precision and clarity.

Nice-to-Have Skills
  • Experience using SOAR platforms for automated response.

  • Familiarity with MITRE ATT&CK framework.

  • Hands-on knowledge of scripting or automation tools for security operations.

  • Exposure to cloud security monitoring and threat hunting in hybrid environments.

  • Involvement in red/blue team simulations or threat emulation exercises.
