Job Title: Senior SDET (Software Development Engineer in Test)
Job Location: Bangalore, India
Experience: 4-6 years
Job Summary: We are looking for a skilled Senior SDET to join our team, with expertise in data, API, and UI automation. This role offers great potential for automation but will begin with understanding the product/domain and performing some manual testing. As the role progresses, the focus will shift heavily towards test automation. The ideal candidate should have a strong background in automating data pipelines, APIs, databases, and user interfaces.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand the product/domain and establish testing requirements.
- Perform initial manual testing and help identify areas for automation.
- Develop and execute test scripts for data, API and UI automation.
- Automate data pipelines using PySpark for testing data flows and transformations.
- Automate API testing using Rest Assured to validate RESTful services, ensuring reliability, performance, and security of API endpoints.
- Use PostgreSQL to test database operations and ensure data integrity.
- Develop automated tests for UI built with React using Selenium.
- Write and manage automation test scripts for Airflow to ensure reliable pipeline triggers and workflows.
- Implement automation scripts for AWS services such as Lambda functions, Geo-location services, and Storage services.
- Continuously improve and maintain the automation framework to enhance test coverage and reliability.
- Identify and troubleshoot issues, provide clear documentation, and work closely with developers to resolve problems.
- Implement CI/CD practices to streamline test execution and reporting.
Required Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a SDET with a focus on both data and UI automation.
- Strong programming skills in Python, especially for automating data pipelines using PySpark.
- Solid understanding of PostgreSQL for database testing.
- Hands-on experience with Selenium for automating UI tests, particularly for applications built on React.
- Familiarity with Airflow and ability to write automation test scripts for pipeline triggering and orchestration.
- Understanding of AWS components such as Lambda functions, Geo-location services, and Storage services.
- Good understanding of test automation frameworks and CI/CD tools.
- Ability to write clear, maintainable, and reusable test scripts.
