ABOUT THE ROLE
We are looking for a Senior SDET to build automated test coverage for a large-scale job marketplace platform, working primarily in TypeScript and Playwright with opportunities to expand into backend engineering using Java or Kotlin. You will create and maintain test frameworks, write functional, integration, and API tests, integrate automated suites into CI/CD pipelines, and contribute independently to production code — not only test code. The role requires 4+ years each of backend engineering and test automation experience.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
- Implement new features for the Metadata Bus platform.
- Build new integrations with internal and external systems.
- Maintain and improve existing Metadata Bus integrations.
- Contribute to the refactoring of Metadata Bus and other team initiatives.
- Integrate with and troubleshoot external APIs.
- Collaborate across multiple engineering teams to support the Compliance platform.
MUST HAVES
- 4+ years of backend software engineering experience.
- Strong proficiency in Java.
- Experience building and integrating REST APIs.
- Strong experience troubleshooting and integrating external APIs.
- Hands-on experience with MongoDB and SQL.
- Experience with data modeling, query optimization, and database scalability.
- Experience with Git and platforms such as GitHub, GitLab, or Bitbucket.
- Experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, CircleCI, or GitLab CI.
- Experience writing unit tests, with JUnit preferred, and working with integration and end-to-end testing.
- Experience troubleshooting applications using tools such as Postman, curl, or Chrome DevTools.
- Experience deploying applications to cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
- Strong cross-team collaboration and communication skills.
- Upper-intermediate English level
