How to contribute to our vision

You will become part of the Procurement and Logistics team by supporting the operational business in identifying best practices to increase efficiency and harmonization within our purchasing activities worldwide.

Your focus is on promoting process excellence for operational procurement processes along the implementation of SAP S/4HANA and relevant tools and applications. In the course of the system transformation that Siemens Gamesa is currently undergoing, you will support with your experience in the area of change management by providing the company with expert knowledge, developing tailor-made training concepts and taking the lead in efforts to harmonize and continuously enhance procurement processes and system efficiency within the business while we continue to drive our digitization journey.

In this role, you will:

  • Demonstrate comprehensive end-to-end expertise in processes ranging from logistics to payment, ensuring seamless procurement operational excellence
  • Analyzing problem areas and giving advice based on system knowledge and business process knowledge
  • Working closely with stakeholders to support process optimization along the value chain
  • Address and resolve issues and challenges within factory operations related to procurement processes
  • Provide support and expertise in purchasing documents - contracts, purchase info records (PIR), purchase orders (PO), scheduling agreements (SA)
  • Utilize material master knowledge to maintain data integrity and drive process improvements to resolve any material master errors
  • Leverage and apply MRP knowledge to optimize material planning and procurement processes
  • Demonstrate proficiency in Serial and Batch Management to ensure accurate tracking and traceability of materials
  • Utilize supplier qualification knowledge to enhance vendor relationships and support strategic sourcing initiatives
  • Close collaboration with other process teams in the area of operational procurement and supply management, supplier lifecycle management, sourcing and negotiation, contract management, and master data

  • In-depth understanding and hands-on experience with Master Data and SAP S/4HANA.
  • Profound experience with procurement and logistics methods and processes
  • Strong communication and change management skills with a talent for inspiring and motivating people
  • Ability to train users on procurement and logistics processes and systems, ensuring knowledge transfer and adoption of best practices
  • Proven experience in project management, including leading cross-functional teams and delivering successful procurement and logistics projects
  • Strong analytical skills to identify and address issues, as well as drive continuous improvement initiatives to streamline processes and systems
  • Experience in identifying and implementing best practices in warehouse management, supply chain optimization, and procurement and logistics processes and systems
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with internal stakeholders and suppliers
  • Flexibility to travel and stay at factory and office locations to conduct training and assess process compliance
  • Working experience with multi-cultural professionals and teams
  • Strong data analytical skills in Power BI and Microsoft Excel
  • Working experience in extracting and updating MASS data via Winshuttle, MEMASS transactions, or SAP tables
  • 8+ years of relevant professional experience within a global company
  • Fluent command of English language in writing and speaking
