The Company:
Quotient Therapeutics is a privately held, early-stage company developing a novel genomics platform and therapeutics for diseases with a large unmet need.
Position Summary:
Quotient Therapeutics is seeking a Scientist with a strong immuno-oncology background, who will be responsible for the biology validation of novel oncology targets using in vitro and in vivo models.
Responsibilities:
- The successful candidate will work both independently and as part of a team to design, plan and execute high-quality in vitro assays for immune-oncology target validation
- Lead the development and execution of in vitro assays to assess the biological activity of target-specific molecules
- Coordinate animal studies with external research vendors as needed; perform ex vivo assays for target engagement analysis, biological pathway validation and biomarker analysis
- Critical data analysis, attention to detail, and troubleshooting abilities
- Mentor and train research associates as needed
Qualifications:
- Ph.D. in Immunology, Oncology, Cell Biology or related discipline with
- Deep knowledge and understanding of Immuno-oncology/cancer biology. Proficient in experimental design, assay execution, troubleshooting, data analysis, and data interpretation.
- Extensive hands-on experience in mammalian cell culture including primary cells and in handling tissues.
- Experience in working in a cross-functional/matrix environment
- The ideal candidate has previous experience in cell-culture assays of Immuno-oncology and worked with both primary cells and cell lines. Experience in tumor animal model design and execution, PK and PD analysis is a plus.
- Experience in the following techniques is a plus: FACS, ELISA, MSD, WB, RT-qPCR, cell culture, microscopy, IHC and quantitative image analysis, Prism software.
- Strong written and oral presentation skills
- Execution focused, team oriented, and highly motivated.
