Our work spans vaccine platform development, novel vaccine candidates, and the characterization of vaccine-induced immune responses.

As a Senior Scientist (f/m/d) in the Immunology group, you will make a significant contribution to the successful development of new vaccine candidates.
Your Role
- Develop and characterize novel vaccine platforms and vaccine candidates, including approaches based on built-in immune modulators/adjuvants, mucosal immune activators, and protein-, viral- and RNA-based technologies
- Design and conduct in vitro and in vivo mode-of-action, immunogenicity, and efficacy studies, and characterize vaccine-induced immune responses
- Establish and optimize relevant mouse models and immunological assays to support vaccine development
- Provide preclinical data packages and study reports to support regulatory submissions
- Communicate results, project status, and scientific recommendations to coordinating teams, departments, and key stakeholders
- Contribute to scientific publications, intellectual property, and the advancement of innovative vaccine concepts
About you
- Ph.D. in Immunology or a related field, with 5+ years of postdoctoral experience and in-depth knowledge of fundamental immune mechanisms
- Strong experience with mouse models, including infectious disease challenge models; experience with herpesvirus research and relevant challenge models is highly desirable
- Proficiency in multicolor flow cytometry and flow cytometry-based assays, with hands-on experience developing, performing, and analyzing in vivo, ex vivo, and in vitro immunological readouts
- Proven track record of peer-reviewed publications in immunology
- Experience supervising and training technical research staff
- Goal-oriented, data-driven, and organized, with strong problem-solving skills and the ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects
- Collaborative team player with the ability to work independently and contribute constructively to cross-functional discussions
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
