What You'll Be Doing:
- Prepare Primavera (P6) and Microsoft Project schedules.
- Verify contractor’s schedules for conformance with contract documents.
- Confirm that the contractor’s schedules are aligned with contract scheduling requirements, and include activities and logic that at the minimum:
- Provide sufficient detail and a complete representation of the scope of work;
- Incorporate all contract milestones and any other milestones that require
coordination with other contracts and / or entities;
- Include updates, on a weekly or monthly basis, that are per contract requirements, using current and verified status information from the contractor to effectively control the contract and to create an accurate as-built schedule;
- Clearly define activities and dates that are critical to the successful completion of the contract. - Review contractor schedules, provide comments, and provide report findings to applicable Area Construction Manager (ACM) / Resident Engineer (RE) / Assistant Resident Engineer (ARE).
- Perform field verification of schedule information.
- Maintain an up-to-date assessment of the contract through the schedule, document the status, and advise the applicable ACM / RE / ARE of any significant issues.
- Set up construction schedule information for computerization and enter data in the computer for processing.
- Assist contractor in developing, revising and finalizing their detailed schedule.
- Review and assess contractor’s detailed schedules for compliance with contract milestones and restraints.
- Maintain the current construction schedule with approved and documented changes.
- Implement best management practices to review and report schedule updates, baselines and time impact analyses (TIA).
- Preserve the “baseline construction schedule” as approved, with no changes or modifications to activity data.
- Facilitate corrective action in collaboration with the lead scheduler and applicable ACM / RE / ARE.
- Evaluate schedule impact of change orders on the construction schedule.
- Develop alternatives to minimize delays to assigned contract(s).
- Coordinate with the project team to develop constructability reviews.
- Develop schedule forensic analysis.
- Other tasks as may be assigned.
- Confirm that the Construction Master Schedule(s) includes activities and logic that: a) Is sufficiently detailed to provide a complete representation status; b) Incorporates all physical restraints between activities of the same contract or different contracts; c) Is updated monthly with current and verified status information from the contractors to effectively control each Element and create an accurate as-built schedule; d) Clearly defines the activities and dates that are critical to the successful completion of the Element milestones.
- Collect schedule data for computerization and enter data in the computer for processing.
- Maintain an up-to-date assessment of the schedule and report status and advise management of any significant issues.
- Develop and/or assist with the development of the scheduling specifications to the project managers and contractors.
- When required assist Schedulers and contractors in developing, revising and finalizing their detail schedule, without impacting the contractor sequence of operations.
- Review and assess contractors’ detail schedules with the Scheduler for compliance with Element milestones and restraints.
- Maintain the current Master Schedule(s) with approved documented changes.
What Required Skills You'll Bring:
- Minimum Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or similar subject.
- Ten to fifteen (10 to 15) years of experience in construction scheduling, on large-scale design-procurement-construction projects.
- Ability to Maintain an operating awareness of all contract issues and ATLNext participants.
What Desired Skills You'll Bring:
- Planning and Scheduling Professional (CPSP) certification is preferred.
- Safety training (minimum OSHA 10-Hour) is preferred.
