The Senior Scheduler is responsible for developing, establishing, and maintaining all aspects of planning and scheduling efforts. Collaborates with project teams to ensure timely development of baseline schedules, provide schedule updates, and manage implementation throughout the life cycle of various project types. May manage more junior level staff.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Collaborate with project teams to ensure timely development of baseline schedules, provide schedule updates, and manage implementation throughout the life cycle of various project types

  • Assist project teams to ensure delays are adequately documented.

  • Develop contingency options with the team to accelerate schedule.

  • Review contracts for specific scheduling needs and profile critical timelines to ensure project schedules show appropriate detail based upon job site requirements.

  • Mentor junior Schedulers as needed.

  • Some travel required

TECHNICAL SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED

  • Ability to independently create schedules using a planner/builder mindset.

  • Advanced knowledge of MS office, Bluebeam, and Primavera P6.

  • Comprehensive knowledge of building systems, construction techniques, practices and components.

REQUIRED EDUCATION AND WORK EXPERIENCE

  • A Bachelor’s degree (preferably in Construction Management, Civil or Mechanical Engineering, or Architecture) or equivalent experience.

  • Ten (10) years of experience including four (4) years of field construction experience on large ground-up projects and a minimum of six (6) years in project scheduling.

  • Experience working on both commercial and residential projects, preferably on the west coast.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

Performance of the required duties will require physical ability to sit for long periods of time at a desk, generally up to 7 hours per day and occasionally standing and walking. The repetitive motion using hands with constant keyboarding and physical use of vision to read computer monitors and paper documents.  Regularly required to use hands to operate standard office equipment (personal computer, photocopy machine, fax machine). Occasionally required to stoop, kneel and lift up to 15 pounds. The noise level in the office work environment is usually moderate to loud.

Range of base pay is $175,000-$195,000. Actual pay is based on individual skill level and experience.
