VMG Labs is seeking a Senior SAP GTS Consultant to lead Trade Preference, Compliance, and Customs workstreams on an S/4HANA transformation program. You'll design and implement compliant, efficient global trade capabilities that support preferential trade agreement qualification, customs execution, and export/import compliance.
Role Overview
This is a senior, design-and-build role for a consultant with deep SAP GTS expertise — particularly in Trade Preference, alongside strong Compliance Management and Customs Management experience. You will lead the Trade Preference solution while supporting the broader compliance and customs landscape.
Core Focus Areas
- Compliance Management — SPL screening, embargo checks, and export control support
- Customs Management — import/export declaration support and broker-facing process integration
- Trade Preference and free trade agreement qualification
- Trade master data governance — country of origin, tariff classification, preference eligibility, and supplier solicitation data
- Process design aligned to audit, regulatory, and operational requirements

Key Responsibilities
- Lead design and configuration of SAP GTS Trade Preference processes, including product qualification, bill of material analysis, vendor solicitation, and agreement determination
- Configure and support related Compliance Management and Customs Management capabilities
- Define data models and governance for country of origin, HS/HTS classification, preference indicators, and supplier declarations
- Partner with supply chain, procurement, customs, trade compliance, and finance stakeholders to define operating procedures and control points
- Support integration with SAP S/4HANA and external customs/broker processes where applicable
- Drive fit-to-standard decisions, solution documentation, testing, cutover readiness, and hypercare support
- Identify opportunities for automation, reporting, and control improvement across trade preference and customs operations
